"XMAS WISH" BREAKS TOP 20!
"Xmas Wish" has cracked the top 20 on the published AC Mediabase chart and Shawn is currently one of the top 10 most played Canadian artists in adult contemporary radio! The single, which appears on the Universal compilation, "A Canadian Christmas 2" also peaked this week at number 2 on the daily building chart!

SHAWN IS THE 5TH MOST ADDED CANADIAN ARTIST AT RADIO THIS WEEK!
"Xmas Wish" has experienced a fantastic week at radio, receiving more than 27 adds from some of Canada's biggest Radio Stations, including EZ Rock Toronto, EZ Rock Edmonton, Clear FM Vancouver, CHFI Toronto and Magic 98.3 Saskatoon.
"Xmas Wish' is now the 3rd most added song at AC radio and the #13 most added track across all radio formats, making Shawn the 5th most added Canadian artist! (As reported in the December 1st issue of Canadian Music Network Magazine)

JUMP IN SALES OR A CANADIAN CHRISTMAS 2!
Record sales for "A Canadian Christmas II" jumped 44% this week and is one of the top 5 Christmas albums currently on the Canadian sales chart. The album is a follow-up to the first volume, which was one of Canada's biggest selling Christmas albums last year.

SHAWN JOINS BRYAN ADAMS AND THE BARENAKED LADIES ON CHRISTMAS COMPILATION ALBUM!

SHAWN SMITH TO HOST THE BEAT BOOT CAMP WITH CHIN INJETI ON 21ST OCTOBER
Following the enormous success of "The Beat Boot Camp" in February of this year, the event is back for it's second installment of 2005! Shawn Smith's "Fly" has had it's biggest week yet with brand new reporting adds from Q97 London, Majic 100 Ottawa and Fly Fm Kingston. Secondary adds this week come in from CHSC St. Catharines and More Fm Huntsville. All of this new airplay come on the heals of a very successful promotional tour that has seen Shawn play his songs for programmers from Victoria to Ottawa and all points in between. Shawn Smith’s latest single “Take U Home” featuring rapper Emotionz “ (opened for Snoop Dogg, 2 Live Crew and, Swollen Members) is continuing to gather strength at Canadian radio (recently charted at #60 on the Canadian CHR Top 75), while receiving considerable interest south of the border. The single has already been added to rotation at the Beat 94.5 (Vancouver), Hot 89.9 (Ottawa), Q98 (North Battleford), Max Trax Power Hits, The Hawk (Port Hawkesbury), and Mix 93.7 (Lewisporte). Shawn has just completed his upcoming album, “A Deeper Sense of Soul”. The album recorded at the Armoury and Hipposonic Studios will be distributed by Red Music Canada (a division of Sony Music Canada) in Summer 2004.
In November 2003, Shawn Smith was appointed Canadian Talent Development Coordinator for the Beat 94.5FM and has been working with local producer Chin Injeti (Bass is Base, Bare Naked Ladies, Moka Only, Snow) in coordinating events to showcase and develop emerging artists in both the national and local music industry. Most recently, Shawn and Chin presented the Rhythmic Roots Concert, as part of The Beat Cares Holiday Toy and Food Drive, that featured 19 local artists including Kyprios, Curtis Santiago, Emily Jordan, Checkmate, Concise, AMP, Bishop, and Shades of Soul.
